Scholarship Spotlight: Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarship

In an effort to contribute to the fine arts Krylon is investing in young artists pursuing their dreams of becoming a fine artist. Krylon is giving away five $1,000 scholarships along with a gift package of Artist Sprays and Adhesives. In addition, the art program at each winner’s school will receive a $500 grant and a gift package of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives. Ten additional winning students and their schools will receive a gift package of Artist Sprays and Adhesives.
The scholarship is open to high school seniors (graduating before July 1, 2010) and college freshmen and sophomores in the U.S. and Canada. You must be majoring in a visual arts program such as painting, drawing or sketching (excluding graphic design, fashion design, interior design, film, music or the performing arts). An artist’s statement, letter of recommendation, transcript and portfolio of 3-6 images of artwork on CD, as well as a thumbnail or full-sized printout of images is required. Portfolios will be accepted on CD only DO NOT submit originals as they will not be accepted.
