The HACU-IES Abroad Merit/Need-Based Scholarship is open to students attending a Hispanic-serving institution who have applied and been accepted to an IES Study Abroad program.
Applicants must have at least a 3.3 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to first generation college students or Pell Grant recipients.
Upon return from the trip, the scholarship recipient is required to write a one-page paper on how studying abroad has affected them personally, professionally and academically.
