The Nurse Corps Scholarship is available to students who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a professional registered nurse program.

Recipients of this award must agree to work for at least two years at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses.

In addition to full-tuition, fees, and expenses; students will also receive a monthly stipend.

American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) Scholarship

Available to: College Junior through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $3,000

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) Scholarship is available to AACN members who are actively seeking to further their professional growth and learning.

You must have an active RN license and demonstrate how the funding will be used to overcome any gaps in knowledge or skills in order to qualify for this award.

Health Professions Scholarship Program

Available to: Graduate Students, Year 1 through Year 5
Award Amount: 100% of Tuition

Sponsored by the U.S. Army Medical Department, the Health Professions Scholarship Program is open to full-time students enrolled in a graduate-level health care degree program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.

You must be a U.S. citizen and qualify as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve to be eligible for this award.

U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program

Available to: Graduate Students, Year 1 through Year 2
Award Amount: 100% of Tuition

The U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program is available to students who have been accepted at an accredited graduate institution in an appropriate Health Professions training program.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Borgess Excellence in Nursing Scholarship

The Borgess Excellence in Nursing Scholarship is available to nursing majors at Western Michigan University.

You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

The recipient of this award will participate in the Borgess Nurse Extern Program.

Preference is given to alumni of the Holzer School of Nursing or nurses currently employed at the Holzer Medical Center.
