DoSomething's Battle of the Bands

DoSomething's Battle of the Bands

Battle it out for a $5,000 scholarship.

April 08, 2011

Students across the country are losing their music education programs. Do Something to Save the Music! Join the Battle for the Bands campaign to win a $5,000 scholarship for your school.

There are 2 ways to get involved:

1. Create a music video about music ed. with your orchestra, garage band, jazz band, hip hop group, best friend, etc. Include a message about the importance of music education.

2. Launch an advocacy project in your community. The best way to keep music in your school is to show students, administrators, and your school board how important it is.

The Grand Prize advocacy project will receive $5,000 for their school music program, a trip to New York City to perform at the Do Something Awards kickoff event at B.B. King and a feature on VH1 News.
