But did you know that scholarship providers recognize this, too? It’s a great thing because specialty schools can be quite expensive!

Alliance of Black Culinarians Scholarship

Deadline: 2/15/16
Available to: Graduating High School Seniors through College Freshmen
Award Amount: $2,500

The Alliance of Black Culinarians Scholarship is available to seniors graduating from the Clark County School District.

You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

Culinary Institute of America National Student Organization Scholarship

Deadline: Varies
Available to: College Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: $3,000

The Culinary Institute of America National Student Organization Scholarship is available to students who are student members of SkillsUSA.

You must demonstrate skill in baking, culinary arts or pastry arts to qualify for this award.

Bite of the Arts Scholarship

Available To: Incoming College Freshmen
Award Amount: Varies

The Bite of the Arts Scholarship is available to students at Nicholls State University.

You must be majoring in culinary arts and have a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this renewable award.

Entering freshmen students must have a minimum 20 ACT score.

ProStart Scholarship – Art Institutes

Available to: College Freshmen through College Sophomores
Award Amount: $2,000

The ProStart Scholarship is available to students who involved with the ProStart program and are interested in enrolling at an Art Institute location.

You must be pursuing a culinary arts degree to be eligible for this award.

Connecticut Chef’s Association Scholarship

Available To: College Sophomore through College Senior
Award Amount: $1,000

The Distinguished Visiting Chef (DVC) Scholarship is available to 2nd year culinary Arts students at Providence campus at Wales University.

You must be majoring in culinary arts and demonstrate financial need and are legal residents of Connecticut to be eligible for this award.

Best of the Best Scholarship

Available to: College Freshmen
Award Amount: $1,500

The Best of the Best Scholarship is available to full-time students at Le Cordon Bleu.

You must be graduating from high school with a minimum 3.5 GPA to be considered for this award.

SAT/ACT Achievement Scholarship

Available to: College Freshmen
Award Amount: $2,000

The SAT/ACT Achievement Scholarship is available to students at the Culinary Institute of America.

You must have an SAT score of 550 or better in math or critical reading or have an SAT score of 20 or better in math or English to be eligible for this award.

Le Cordon Bleu Future Chef of America High School Scholarship Competition

The Le Cordon Bleu Future Chef of America High School Scholarship Competition is available to high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time at Le Cordon Bleu.

To be considered, you must submit an essay on why you want to be the next Future Chef of America.

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Provided by the Hershey Foods Corporation, the Culinary and Pastry Internship is available to students majoring in culinary arts, pastry arts, or a related field.

Intern duties may include assisting in banquet preparation, pastry preparation, and various other tasks.
