My name is Connie Alling. I was a victim of domestic violence. I left my home and lived on the streets for 2 years and 3 months seeking a shelter program to get into.Once I moved off the streets I began to frantically seek opportunities to get back on my feet and begin life over. I made a lot of mistakes in my life and am working to change who I am. Starting over when you are in your 50s is not an easy task but I am determined to get a BS in Canine Studies from Bergin University in California. I am attending Tarrant County Community College at present getting my basic classes after being out of school for 35 plus years. Any help I can get would be a blessing.

Hello my name is Chantel Brown and i am currently a senior at Skyline high School in Dallas, Texas. I have been in foster care my whole life and recently have been adopted. Even though, my mom has 7 other kids to take care of so unfortunately, if I don't get a scholarship, I won't be going to my dream college that I have wanted to go to since I was 7 tears old. I come from a very bad life and I have been homeless for most of my life. Since I am adopted, I have had a better life and I am an honor student. I never get in trouble and I do everything I am supposed to do. I have been involved in many activities such as cheerleading, DECA, senate, and National Honor Roll and Society. I have never been given a lot of chances in life and I am very ambitious. The most important thing to me is get an education and if I don't have any money, I can't. My adopted mom is a single mother and we have no money whatsoever. She makes her living as a substitute teacher. Getting this scholarship is vital to my life and I am on my knees begging, please can I be considered. I dream is to work for Vogue magazine and I just got accepted to parsons new School for Design in New York. If I can get there, that will bring me one step closer to following my dreams. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Lawrence and I currently attend my last year in a school named Lionel Wilson Prep in Oakland, California. Four years ago my father had a fatal accident which cause him his left arm. Due to that inccident he is not able to work. My sisiter attended Chico state thanks to some grant that where given to her. I would also want to attend college, but my families income is not enough. I would like to attend east bay in Hayward, california. If three is anyone out there that could help me I would be grateful. I will be attending college, if possible, fall of 2010.

My name is Joseph Coccitti and I'd like to attend Temple University and major in Broadcasting and Communications. I'm a senior and my GPA is 3.8. I've jus finished my eagle scout project and I'm up for my badge in a couple of months. I'm interested in sports broadcasting, my final goal.
I need financial help to attend Temple and I will be dorming there also. My parents' health is failing and they don't make enough money to afford college for me. I have a disabled brother also and that's an added burden for my family. I'm willing to work very hard in achieving my goals if given a chance. Anything you can do to help would be most appreciated.
