Victor Bailliet Scholarship in Sugar Technology – Varies

The Victor Bailliet Scholarship in Sugar Technology is available to full-time sophomore agricultural business majors at Nicholls State University.

You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be a U.S. citizen.

Also, you must possess leadership qualities and an instructor’s recommendation to be eligible for this award.

Students coming from families with a background in sugar production also may apply.

Corrosion In Motion Student Competition – $3,000

The Corrosion In Motion Student Competition is open to full – time high school and college students.

To enter, you must explain, in a four-minute video, how a structure can be impacted by corrosion, taking into account the material, composition of the structure, as well as the environment where it is located.

Submissions can be serious or humorous, but should be thoughtful, creative and original.

Alice Madden Barton Cosmetology School Scholarship – Varies

The Alice Madden Barton Cosmetology School Scholarship is available to students pursuing a career in cosmetology or barbering.

To be considered, you must submit a short essay describing why cosmetology interests you.

Holography Internship

The Holograpy Internship is available to students with an interest in holography. You will assist with work in a laser lab creating and copying holograms.

You will also assist with work in an art gallery: fabricating displays, creating sculptural and computer generated art, work in cinematography and assist in the running of the business of the gallery.

A personal holography project may be part of your work.

4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest – $750

The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees 4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest is open to current 4-H members.

To be considered, you must submit an essay of between 750 and 1000 words on the following topic: “Beekeeping in Colonial Times”.

Demographic: Age Max 19

Goodman Theater Internship

The Goodman Theatre Internships are available to college students who are at least 18 years of age.

You must demonstrate competence in your specific area of interest, be mature, self-reliant, and able to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.

Opportunities may be available in the following areas: casting, development, education and community engagement, general management, literary management and dramaturgy, marketing/public relations, production management, costumes, sound, properties, and stage management.

Southeastern Turfgrass Conference Scholarship – Varies

The Southeastern Turfgrass Conference Scholarship is open to sophomores at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

You must be majoring in golf turf management, commercial turf management, golf club management, or landscape design and grounds management (with emphasis in golf course landscaping) and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation Scholarship – $10,000

The Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a course of study related to vacuum coating technology.

Practitioners already working in the vacuum coating technology field are also eligible to apply.

CKSF Scholarship Competition – $2,500

The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the U.S.

You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general “common knowledge” to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.

You will be scored based on a combination of time and accuracy. Students with the highest scores at the end of each competition win.
