Arts programs are the first to go when a school faces budget cuts, but studies show arts education is a crucial part of self-expression, creative thinking, and improves academic studies. DoSomething.org wants you to take a stand for arts education in your school.
Create your own visual artwork showcasing the importance of art education and submit your design at www.dosomething.org/make-art-save-art. Share your artwork on Facebook and Twitter and artists with the most shares will be entered into a pool to win a $1,000 scholarship for higher education. A panel of celebrity judges will review the submissions and chose the scholarship winner.
