Michael Jackson isn’t just a legacy in the realm of music. He’s also known for his generous donations to scholarship funds, particularly to the United Negro College Fund. In his lifetime, Michael Jackson donated over $2 million to the fund, and his sister, Janet Jackson, lends a hand as well through Michael Jackson and Rhythm Nation Scholarships.

The Michael Jackson and Rhythm Nation Scholarships, available through UNCF, is open to undergraduate and graduate students focusing in the arts and communications. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Awards amounts for the Michael Jackson and Rhythm Nation Scholarships are available up to $5,000.
