Single parents comprise a large fraction of returning and non-traditional students. On top of working and parenting, single parents are stretching themselves even further to attain a higher education that leads to a better lifestyle for their entire family.

The Single Parent Scholarship is available to single parents attending the Brigham Young University School of Business. To be eligible for the Single Parent Scholarship, students must be single parents. Several Single Parent Scholarships are available from the Spouse Association at Brigham Young.
The McCracken Assist Scholarship is available to single parent students in amounts up to $1,000 at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis. In addition to financial need, the McCracken Assist Scholarship is also awarded for academic excellence and potential.
Applicants to the McCracken Assist Scholarship must submit an application for financial aid, be a US citizen or resident and a resident of Indiana as well. Once a student has completed nine credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75, they may apply for the McCracken Assist Scholarship.
The Patricia Schroeder Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students at University of Colorado at Denver. Applicants for the Patricia Schroeder Scholarship must be a resident of Colorado as well as a single parent. Additionally, the requirements for the Patricia Schroeder Scholarship specify that recipients must demonstrate financial need.
