Scholarship Spotlight: Six Flags Friends Scholarship

Scholarship Spotlight: Six Flags Friends Scholarship

March 24, 2010

DoSomething.org and Six Flags are giving away six $1,500 college scholarships. Scholarship money will go directly to the college or university the winner is enrolled in. If the winner is not yet enrolled in a school, the money will be held until the winner chooses a school.

Scholarships will be given to young leaders who are taking action to make a difference in their communities. This could be past, current or planned action on a local or global level. The applicant’s passion, commitment and proven leadership skills will also be taken into account.

Applicants must create a project post on DoSomething.org detailing their current or past volunteer efforts and submit a letter of recommendation from a non-family member. Applicants must be 25 years old or under and be a U.S. or Canadian citizen.

  • Awards Available: 6
  • Website: DoSomething.org

@ Esther. Thank you for serving our country. I am not sure that you are aware but having participated in any Armed Forces gives you the right to use the GI Bill which pays for your education to include a stipend for rent, books, extra costs. You can find this information at your financial aid office as well as many other websites to include military.com. Hope this helps!
