Latino Business Professionals of Silicon Valley (California)
The Latino Business Professionals of Silicon Valley (LBP) and California Hispanic Professional Association (CHispPA) sponsor a scholarship for underrepresented Hispanic high school and college students from the Bay Area. Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Eligible majors include accounting, finance and business. The deadline is in mid-March.

Latino Diamante Scholarship Fund (North Carolina)
The Latino Diamante Scholarship Fund sponsors two $750 scholarships for Hispanic high school seniors who plan on enrolling at a North Carolina college or university. Applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale. The deadline is August 15. For more information, call 1-919-852-0075, write to Diamante, Inc., 315 N. The Latino Scholarship Fund (Connecticut)
The Latino Scholarship Fund sponsors scholarships for Hispanic high school seniors from the Greater Danbury, Connecticut, area, including Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield. US citizenship or legal permanent residency is required. Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic potential, character and integrity. The deadline is March 15.

Latin American Educational Foundation (Colorado)
The Latin American Educational Foundation provides scholarships to Colorado residents of Hispanic heritage or to Colorado residents who are actively involved in the Hispanic community. Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale. Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic excellence. Recipients are required to perform 10 hours of community service during the year in which they receive funding. The deadline is March 1.

New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education (New Mexico)
The New Mexico Alliance for Hispanic Education offers scholarships for full-time Hispanic undergraduate and graduate students who are New Mexico residents. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500. The scholarships are open to community college students, community college transfer students, undergraduate students and graduate students who are pursuing their first undergraduate or graduate degree. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents and have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The deadline is in mid-February.

North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals (North Carolina)
The North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals sponsors the North Carolina Hispanic College Fund to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from North Carolina who are of Hispanic or Latino heritage. The award amounts vary from $500 to $2,500 and are renewable for up to a total of four years of support. Applicants must have a 2.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 or higher GPA on a 5.0 scale. The deadline is January 15.

Sociedad Amigos de Colombia (SADCO) (Indiana)
The Sociedad Amigos de Colombia sponsors fifteen $1,600 scholarships for Hispanic residents of Indiana. Applicants must be high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores or juniors pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Applicants must also have a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale. Recipients are selected based on financial need, community service and outreach. The deadline is April 30.

Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities & Scholarships (VAMOS) (Texas)
The VAMOS Scholarship is open to Hispanic graduating high school seniors from Hidalgo, Starr and Cameron counties in Texas. Applicants must rank in the top 25% of their graduating class, have a 3.2 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale and be eligible for the Pell Grant. Applicants must be US citizens or legal permanent residents. The deadline is April 1.

Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI) (New York)
The Young Latinas Leadership Institute provides a scholarship program for female Hispanic studnets at New York area colleges in partnership with The City University of New York. Five $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale.
