Yes having a good GPA is great. But the saying "it's who you know, and not what you know", is what I believe this scholarship is all about. There are many reasons across the board why many students do not have a "Good GPA". And this scholarship takes that into account. A GPA does not determine what kind of person you are.

Returning back to college, I found out that having a good GPA in college enhence your chance of recieving a shcolarship. A good GPA indicate that a recipient knows what they are doing. A recipient can move ahead doing thing without having someone standing over their back moment by moment. The ultimate approval for most colleges can bank on this person. With a high GPA will also help you excelarate to another level without having to repeat a class. In many cases if, you repeat a class that mean you will be going over the same items that you went over, or you would have to pay for that same class twice which could be a waste to some faculty.
I am a leader if I don't recieve a scholarship in my community because my community service will not stop me from help others in the community. I have has several award for working with children and helping them move to another level in life. I am a leader when I walk into a nursing home to offer a helping with someone like a mother father,brother, or sister to the rest room. Volunteer is leader because the goodness you feel in your heart, after helping someone less fortunate than I am. I have very high torlarent to assistant with feeding someone that can't do it for themselves. No! I do not have a high GPA but I do have a good heart. So my Good Participation has been Achieve. So you see I am a leader. With a high GPA
