Starting August 1, 2009, you can upload a 1-3 minute video on why you deserve a scholarship of $2,500. The video with the most votes as of September 7, 2009 will walk away with the grand prize!

ATTENTION people come on here looking to apply for scholarships and free money, but half of you misspell a lot of simple words that should not be missed. It's not about being the "Worlds Greatest Speller" but if you are careless with simple adjustments, what makes you think you will get the chance of handling thousands of dollars. If you submit comments about a scholarship and recognize there is an error with the sentence you wrote, you need to delete it and try again. Everyone makes mistakes! The question is how long will it take for you to correct them? Just something to think about (?).

I feel as if everyone needs to have at least one scholarship available for them without the hassle. Especially when you know they are trying to better them selves to make a great change with in the community or there family.

I am dissapointed in the work that was not well proofread on behalf of the leg 2 creators. Do the job you were paid to do, even if this was project you were chosen to do because your the new person or the intern.

You are right everyone does deserves a scholarship and there can only be one winner but keep in mind that some people need that scholarship more than others. There's a big different need, want, and deserves. All-in-All thank you for the heads up fastweb :)

Honestly, CorrinaG, I feel your pain. I'm a first generation college student with a single mom of 4 daughters. My irresponsible father went to have 9 children with multiple women and not raise any one of them! To be completely honest, most people won't care about that cause they might not understand where we are coming from. We have to try a different approach because just as UVHAZE said, people don't care. That's the sad truth! I'm know there are plenty more scholarships out there so good luck!!

Only 15% of kids get to attend college after high school. Don't complain about not getting the scholarship you want or try to win people over with your sob stories because, news flash, the world is a cold ruthless place and no one cares. At least you don't have to fight just to survive or wonder if you're going to have a home the next day. Be thankful for what you have, sympathy only goes so far.

I feel that going to school to further my education is a good enough reason to win this prize because I thought enough and is eager to fulfill my dream I should win also this money will help me to pay for things I need through college, because time are hard to provide by yourself, therefore you need financial assistance. I think that the people who ramble on and on about unclaimed scholarships are full of bologna because I feel so discouraged when the scholarships are scholarships like this one where you have to make and upload videos to an arbitrary contest like this!
