Scholarship Spotlight: AmeriCorps Educational Award $4,725

Want to help those less fortunate than you and earn a scholarship at the same time? AmeriCorps is providing you that opportunity through TechMission Corps! TMC members serve in a 12-month position doing one of the following:

• Impact youth through various after-school programs
• Mobilize volunteers to help serve under-privileged communities
• Serve the community in learning through input and feedback

What’s in it for you? A $4,725 scholarship.

Location: Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, & Denver

Length: 1-2 years

Requirements: At least 18 years of age; high school diploma or GED; must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident alien in U.S.

    Im a farther of two kids, married and tryin to get my life together by going back to school. I see myself in the next 3 1/2 years with a Degree, In marketing and business with the blessing of this scholarship I would be a successful young man an able to take care of my family and friends around me.

    I am a freshman in college, trying to get my Associates Degree in drug and alcohol. I want to help people who struggle with the disease of addiction. I too know what its like to battle a drug addiction and it was hard. This scholarship is not a hand out more like a hand up on life.

    i am currently a freshman in college trying to pursue a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. I wasnt approved for any pell grants and had to go through loans, so its hard working hard to pay monthly payments and doing my best in school also. This scholorship would definitly help me in furthering my education in bettering my life.

    if the americorps would help me out on school funds, i would be so greatful and i wouldnt have to sit on my bum all the time and, go get an education so i can improove my life and live is well

    I am a single mother of three i work hard to make sure that my kids have what they need in life and now they need thire mother in collage getting a better futcur for the famaily, my health is not to grate and need to change my job efore it gets worst and can not move any scholarship will much help thank you God Bless every one Lynda 6032320292.or michroi@yahoo.com

    I'm hopping for the bright blessing future, but I really need scholarship to furthering my education. I take financial aid for school but never been enough to cover all my classes and books, so going it alone without getting help in scholarship I had to find a job to work more hours in order to support myself and to make a payment for the different that financial aid did not cover.

    I WOULD LOVE 2 HAVE A SCHOLARSHIP IM DESPARETLY IN NEED I HAVE BEEN DOIN FINANCIAL AID WHICH IM NOT ELGIBLE AND I HAVE BEEN GETTN LOANS 4 SCHOOL THAT I NEED TO PAY BACK I REALLY NEED THIS TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION AND MAKE MY PARENTS EVEN MORE PROUD

    This is a great opportunity for me to give of myself while elpiing others which is a part of my nature. A $4,725.00 schalorship makes it even better.
