July 4th Shout for Cash Winner Announced!
FastWeb’s Shout for Cash Contest went off with fireworks on July 4th. Nearly 16,000 users logged in for a chance to win $500.
In celebration of our freedom of speech and the new FastWeb Discussions channel, FastWeb gave away $500 in our Shout for Cash Contest to one lucky FastWeb user who logged in to www.fastweb.com on July 4th, 2009. The lucky winner was chosen at random.
So, what lucky FastWeb user took the $500 prize? (Drum roll please…) Katie H. from Springfield, Tennessee.
Katie is a high school junior at Springfield High School. With a 4.0, Katie will be the first in her family to attend college. She’s interested in possibly studying Spanish Language and Literature, Business Administration or Business Management.
Congratulations to Katie and thanks to everyone who participated in the Shout for Cash Contest.
Stay tuned to FastWeb for more scholarships and contests that can help put YOU through school.

CONGRATS Katie! Keep up the good work in high school. It must be exciting, that you'll be the 1st in your family to go to college. I was also the 1st in my family and I did set an example for my brother. He is now going to college.

Congrats!!! I'm from the United States Virgin Islands and I didn't even remember about the scholarship...my bad!!! Good Luck in your new college life ahead of you. Try taking spanish language as a minor and not a major and see how that works out for you.

While I wish congratulations on Katie and a big thanks for Fastweb even offering this scholarship, I must protest the picture on the top of this page. It is gratuitous, and I beleive it is highly improper for Fastweb to choose such a picture. As soon as I am done with this comment, I am going to flag this page as inappropriate. I urge all other Fastweb members who visit this page to do the same.
