Where to Find Obama’s Stimulus Plan Jobs

You’ve probably heard about all the money President Obama has dumped into the economy, but chances are you haven’t seen it first hand. So, where are all the jobs?
President Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (aka the Stimulus Plan) is expected to save or create 3.5 million jobs over the next two years.
The plan also includes provisions to help both employed and unemployed Americans: 95 percent of workers and their families will receive the Making Work Pay tax cut of up to $1,000, and millions of unemployed workers will receive an additional $100 in unemployment benefits per month. The plan also includes funding to help unemployed workers pay for COBRA health care coverage.
While the stimulus is designed to create jobs across the economy, four strategic sectors are receiving the majority of stimulus funding targeted for job creation. This is where the jobs are!

Megan, I don't think this article was ridiculous at all. In fact, I'm grateful that it showed how few of the in-demand jobs require a 4-year degree. And there are still some that do.

Its cause most of you understand sooo little about politics and expect the world to be better over night. The president is only one person and he is doing EVERYTHING he has been saying he was going to do. Barrack has done more in just his few months then any other politician has done in years!!!! All of this Barack Obama bashing. What you guys seem to be misunderstanding is that the we're in the situation that we're in not only because of our spending habits but also because of the Iraq war. A, needless to say, war that we shouldn't be involved in the first place. He is our President now and will be for another, let's hope, 7 (if he's reelected) years! Give him a chance! It wasn't him that got America into the situation we're in now. He definitely cannot get us out of the situation alone AND he can't do it in 7 months. It's upsetting how ignorant and defiant one can be when you don't even understand the entire situation. Regardless, I support Obama's plan to put money into fields that most Americans seem to disregard. Energy, healthcare, education these are fields where we actually NEED more individuals. I hope that this plan encourages new students to begin to look outside of just the fields of consulting and finance, and begin to embrace the arenas of math & science.

Please cease with calling this a stimulus plan, it resembles nothing of a plan to solve the dire economy that the present Congress has brought upon us. Construction jobs? Child care? Oh that will make us global competitors. B.O. has lied, now he claims his and Madonna Pelosi's spending package will save 3.5 mil. jobs, when the bill was introduced he PROCLAIMED he would CREATE more jobs. He is a narcissist and a fool, and now representing us at the G8 conference. No experience, no knowledge of economics, operating a business and finance, it just gets more comical, but at our expense and loss of respect in the World. Let's hope his teleprompter fails in front of the G8 leaders

Look at CA, if we keep spending the whole country will be broke. There is no jobs because we sent them overseas. People have got to wake up. Do you really want the GOV. to know all your health problems. Eventually they will say weather your worth living and not give you the treatment you need. Once you invite them in they will never leave. Remember we the people. We should take care of our citizens. Think about it BIG GOV. Our we just incapable to take of our self's. To keep our country clean. To be responsible or are we just going to give all are freedoms away. Im poor, but I wake up in control of my life and free to do what what I want. Gov. will restrict our freedoms. The only time people are concerned is when it hits home. Don't let get that far. Gov. needs to stop the spending.

Wow, so all this spending is to create low income to middle class jobs. That's socialism folks. So my IT degree isn't the focus of the job creation in a leading country, which should naturally progress to high technology and education based jobs and away from manufacturing and construction (aka energy and construction) as we should be a consuming nation and not a producing (third world and secondary) nation. Oh well, I guess that's just another thing Obama didn't learn about while growing up with the culture of a priviledged white kid.
