Internship duties include: conducting intake interviews with callers to the agency's "warm line"; assisting staff attorneys with all aspects of client representation, including legal research and writing, drafting of declarations and other pleadings, and attendance at court hearings; and assisting staff with outreach to underserved youth populations such as queer youth, immigrant youth, young women and youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Term-time interns are required to commit to a weekly minimum of 16 hours; summer interns are required to work full time for a minimum of 10 weeks. To be eligible for this internship, you must submit a resume, cover letter and writing sample.
