The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence Public Policy Office Internship is available to students with a strong commitment to ending domestic and sexual violence. Your duties will include: monitoring and analyzing Federal anti-violence legislation and appropriations, drafting legislative updates and alerts, researching and updating topic fact sheets, event planning, attending Congressional hearings and meetings, and responding to technical assistance requests from policy makers. You must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research tools, an understanding and commitment to diversity issues, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to qualify for this position. Capitol Hill experience, event planning experience and bilingual skills are a plus.
