The Price of Happiness in Each State

The age-old adage says money doesn’t buy happiness. True. But, for many, it surely can help qualm financial worries and allow workers to afford the type of lifestyle they’d like. So, no, of course money doesn’t buy happiness. But, yes, it can help.

Recently, the Council for Community & Economic Research published a study that details how much money a person should earn within each state in order to achieve happiness.

While this certainly isn’t a “one size fits all” scenario, it’s easy to see that earning within the optimal range of each state, taking into consideration the cost of living in different areas, would likely help satisfy workers.

Keep in mind that $75,000 is considered the optimal earnings amount considered satisfactory for most people.
