Add Awards to our Database

Our full time research team works hard to ensure that all awards in our database are coded very specifically so that only qualified students will receive notice of them. This protects both students and scholarship providers from being overwhelmed. If you have any questions about adding, updating or changing an award in our database, please contact our Research Department at scholarships@fastweb.com or call 312-832-2345.

Guidelines: How to Post Scholarships on FastWeb
To ensure that your target audience receives notice of your award, FastWeb needs the following information:
- Sponsor Information
We need your organization's mailing address, phone number and a contact name. Phone numbers and contact names are for internal use only, unless you want the information posted on our Web site with your award. If you have them, a fax number and email address are always helpful. Also, always include your Web site's URL.
- Award Information
- The Basics: name of the award, deadline date, value of the award and the number of awards.
- Minimum SAT/ACT, and GPA.
- Who is the award going to? For example, is the award for freshmen only? Junior and Senior only? Graduate 1st year? What is the major a person must have in order to be eligible?
- Provide a detailed description of what the award is for. For example:
"The John Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship is for all full-time students who attend Boston University and who are majoring in the areas of computer science and computer engineering. A minimum 3.2 GPA is required. This award is for Massachusetts residents only and is renewable with the required GPA."
- Please include important response information, such as "Only emails will be accepted," "No emails accepted," "Send a SASE for further information," or "You will find the complete scholarship information by going to our Web site." If you want only responses by mail, omitting this information may result in receiving unwanted phone calls or emails, thus needlessly tying up valuable administrative time.
- Other areas to consider for your scholarship guidelines, some or all of which you may use, are:
- Required state of residency
- Required college state
- Required college or university
- Required residency of a particular city or county
- Required race or heritage
- Required student activities, such as clubs, professional or civic organizations or particular extracurricular activities
- Any parental requirements, such as a member of a union or being a military veteran
- U.S. Citizenship
- Is the scholarship for persons with specific disabilities
- Religion or religious heritage
- Sports or hobbies
- Gender or marital status
Some Final Thoughts:
Usually you will find that the scholarship information that you give to an applicant will do just fine for us.
Always be sure to put a contact name, phone number and email address (if available) on the information that you provide the department so that we can contact you if we have questions. Always include your URL if you have one.
